PEER MENTORS
The Hidden Opponent's Peer Mentor program is a volunteer role that supports and mentors Campus Captains and assists with program administration. Peer Mentors are former Campus Captains who have excelled in the program, developing into true mental health leaders.
The Peer Mentor program is where their mental health leadership skills go deeper and feedback loops back to Campus Captains. Peer Mentors guide small groups of current Campus Captains throughout the year to add a layer of support across the whole program. Peer Mentors put their own mental health leadership skills into practice as near peers to Campus Captains, while building deeper skills that carry into life beyond college.

For 2026-2027 school year, our Peer Mentors will be provided with specialized leadership training from Dr. Matthew Ohlson, the Executive Director and Endowed Professor of Leadership at the Taylor Leadership Institute at the University of North Florida. With Dr. Ohlson, our Peer Mentors will reflect upon and further develop their unique leadership abilities, culminating in an industry-recognized leadership certificate.
