KAI MCCLELLAND

Kai is a former Division III cross country and track runner. She is currently pursuing her undergrad degree in Communications and Studio Art at Trinity University.

 

Kai struggled with depression and anxiety throughout her athletic career, which culminated into a severe GI issue that she was hospitalized for in 2019. Now, Kai is passionate about raising awareness for abuse in sport, as well as using art and digital media to advance mental health advocacy. Kai directed and produced The Hidden Opponent's first film campaign in 2023, which garnered nearly 400,000 views on social media.

In her free time, Kai enjoys hiking, being with people, and writing about herself in third person on the internet.
